So many times you hear over and over again that the best time for a newborn session is a short windrow of 5-10 (or 3-14) days after birth. For a first time mom it doesn't always work. It takes couple weeks to adjust and realize that everything is changing so fast and maybe a newborn session would be a great idea after all. Unfortunately not every photographer agrees to book a 3-4 weeks old baby. They don't sleep as deep, they stay awake more, they don't curl as easy and don't stay in curly poses long enough.
I must say that I love those babies ) Yes, they can be so much more difficult to work with, but if they do allow me to wrap and place them, oh how adorable they are! They are a lot chubbier and not only proudly show off their little rolls, but also have the best variety of face expressions and smiles.
Baby Aria was 25 days old at the time of her session. She wouldn't sleep long and deep enough, but it just gave me time to capture the interactions with her amazing parents! Welcome to the world, beautiful baby Aria!
